Warning to Turkey hunters
« on: May 14, 2008, 12:18:53 AM »
Some lowlife #%$&* skumbags stole the catalytic converter from my Outback while I was walking logging roads looking for turkeys.  The car was parked near Jackson Hwy near I-5, a busy road.  With getting the insurance adjuster to look at it and ordering the part and getting it installed, I don't know when I can get back to turkey hunting.   Diane

Kill em all and let god sort em out. Sorry for the loss. It's bottom feeders like this that give peeps a bad name. I stopped off for a game of pool at Shotzes in Smokey Point a few years ago...was there less than an hour...come out...my 94 mustang was jacked. I only wish I could have caught them in the act.....

take heart....

That bites. Wish you had come across them in the act and put a shotgun up their rear. There should be some place around there that buys catalytic converters that you can check to see if someone is bringing them in.

Yep, the platinum in the converters is really valuable.

Also, Methamphetamine manufacturers use the catalytic converters to help burn off causctic fumes associated with the making of Meth.

One type of thief got it for sure...

Too bad you didnt have the chance to hold them for law enforcement...

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or destroy it, piss on it and walk away!
