Speed Goat Hat

There was a thread on here earlier about goat decoys.

I was just wondering how many of you have tried this one?

Havent used one myself yet, but have several buddies that have and have heard good things.
I have also spent some time with the guys from Be The Decoy and they are a good bunch!

HAHAHA you could not pay me to put that thing on and walk around :chuckle: I could see that leading to a few hunters getting shot :yike: Heck some brush pickers get shot for wearing a dark jacket, during bear season.

They went to a show or two back east and got the same response.  Western shows were much more positive toward it.

I don't think people have to worry about getting shot unless they wore it late in the evening in low light or brush country which is rare for goats.

I watched a hunting show where two guys used a hat that looked like a deer. Not as elaberate as that, there's was home made. They walked with in 4 yards of deer bed down and shot them with archery EQ. I have what I need to make one but just have not done it yet.

I think it is  a cool idea and will try it some time but not durring riffle season  :bdid:

I'm 75% sure they said a couple of shows were going to be using it this fall.  Should be entertaining if nothing esle.

And yes, they are great guys.  They may even be members, but maybe not.  They are from Montana.

Should go over and ask them to join.

I bet it works great, bucks in the rut hate competition, decoys are fun, just not in favor of being a target myself.    :chuckle:
