1 May opener question
« on: April 25, 2011, 06:49:49 AM »
The feeding lot annual easter egg hunt starts next Sunday
Has anyone heard of any early opening since it is a Sunday ?
I have missed out before with it opening earlier like on a Saturday.
Just wondering ?? and is there a phone # I can call to ask ?

Among the others over there, but yeah
No problem traveling, just don't want to be a day late and 150 dollars short.

I usually go to the Joe Watt area for the May 1 opener.  Everyone races off to their favorite spots when the gate is opened.  I just park at the bottom and then hike up to the top.  Lately I have had to walk all day to find one antler, but some people find zero.  Hard to imagine when a guy sees all the branch antlered bulls when the hay is put out.  A lot of theories why are created at the end of the day.  I do believe people are in there long before May 1, but they can't find them all.  I found a seven point antler in the lower area on Memorial weekend a few years ago and that was after I spent the day hiking the drainage.  Try to keep a positive attitude and keep looking at the ground.  When you stop use the binos to look over the area.  Hope you find something.  I doubt I will be there this year, work and family has other plans for me.

Glad you liked it... Showing my creative side  :chuckle: In all seriousness though lots of people sneek in early and cheat and after the gamies found out they can make a buck... Well, we know what happens . oh well, its still a good chance to get out a get a good walk  :twocents:

We and our COASTIE COUSINS will be over to watch people get bucked off of horses. We saw game warden show in montana and I laughed the whole show. I thought OAK Creek was the only place this stuff happened!!!!! :chuckle: :chuckle:
