I see elk almost every day on my way to work.I don't know what you guys consider a herd, but the other day I saw 22 cows and one branched bull.

I go either Roy gate or go outta Yelm and hit Mounts rd to the 5 to north fort, I ain't seen jack.

As far as Lewis, I'm still new here and ain't quite figured out the back 40 yet like I had at Ft Campbell. I'm on getting my elf an obscenely blown up map of post and one's of each huntable training area. Once I get that done and get familiar with the area, I should increase my sightings. I've recon work .

Now, you just leave those Vail Road elk alone.   ;)

Ive seen 3 bulls, in velvet, this year while cruising timber out that way. All were seen deep in the timber. One spike and 2 2pts. There are a few elk out there, but I'd never hunt there.
