Hunting partners just got back from Rimrock for early archery Elk and said they heard animals tearing something up Friday morning 9/18. 3 distinctly different growls?  Off the 1201 Road.  Don't have any more details than that.

Saw zero Elk when I was hunting over there over a period of 4 days of hunting starting on opening day.  Ran into 25-40 animals the year before? Never heard a howl or bugle

I know Linda and all the ranchers up there. I wouldn't really worry about it.

This audio was recorded outside Duvall the other night from the Pipeline trail.

Thoughts?

Sounds similar to the one I heard outside of Fruitland in coyote canyon in late june. Hopefully the one I heard burned up in the fire.

My camp mates heard wolves behind elk camp last week.
Near above Orr Ridge Rd. In the Nile.
I slept through it.

No, it's from a lady in town who recorded it while she was out running on the trail.

I don't have a lot of volume on my laptop, but from what I could hear it sounds like wolf to me, are there any wolf hybrids being raised in the area or is this in remote country?
