eastside elk? why?
« on: September 18, 2012, 07:30:20 PM »
I'm just curious as to why people hunt elk on the eastside? I understand if you live over there or have massive points built up but what about the people who don't have points or dont even put in? I guess I'm wondering why someone wants to wait 8, 10, 12, 15+ years for a crack at a big bull? Not trying to start anything I'm just curious.

Opinions?

You cant see them over there! Atleast I can't see them over here because there is none, rather than feel like I'm fishing! or is it drowning  :dunno: You can have that $hit hole on the west side  :sry:

My reason is it has taken years to figure out where the elk run to when pushed in the area I hunt. Well 3 years ago I found the spot.  I hunted the west side and killed a nice bull, but you can have that rainy, brush walkin hunting. Plus i seen 5 times as many hunters over there. I dont mind chasing spikes. Now i am building my points up for the Peaches Tag, and when i draw the whole world will know it.... :chuckle: :chuckle:

Not to mention the *censored* that drove up one morning on the wetside and fired off 3 300 RUMS and drove off. THis was above my folks place, I hunted him for the whole season once my bull was down....  LONG STORY!!!

RTSPRING
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

It doesn't matter what you think...

The Whiners suck!!

I hunt the eastside because that is where my dad took me to hunt elk 25yrs ago . My family and I have always hunted over there. It doesn't take very long to get there.I also like to hunt in wilderness areas.

A 2 hour drive is more preferred over hunting in the thick, overgrown, rainy westside.  I'm also in that group whose father took them hunting on the eastside decades ago, and I have grown to know and enjoy the country.  Good luck eastsiders and westsiders!

No Elk on the East side!!! Why you think in the NE corner all elk are over the counter, bull or cow, big or small.  It's because there none!
