Get em to a vet!!!

Sounds almost like poisoning of some kind....  The longer you wait, the worse the prognosis...
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

It induces vomiting almost instantly and avoids any poisons being absorbed into the bloodstream if its done soon enough.

That's good that he threw up. The hydrogen peroxide can be a life saver for a dog. It sounds like it worked. Keep us updated RT.

This same type of thing happened to our family lab when she was about 6.  She had no balance and was falling and really wobbly and sick.  Took her to the vet and they induce vomiting and fed her charcoal and kept her overnight.  We found out she had eaten the neighbors compost, soup that was fine to eat is not so fine once it is starting to rot....she made it though just fine.

Good luck RT!
My dog ate rat poisoning once, and was in very bad shape.  The vet induced vomiting, and then 2 blood transfusions, and he pulled thru.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Glad he's doing better. That's a weird diagnosis. Was the vet assuming he ingested the flea meds which caused seizures and vomiting?

In my hank the handymans home vetrinary book, which is very very informative, the book calls for peroxide to make a dog lose it's lunch. Some folks were here at my place and there prized gordon setter FC ate an entire bag of hersheys chocolate mini bars while they were looking at an english pup of mine. They asked if I had peroxide and a syringe and I did, they administered the peroxide and rivers of chocolate began to flow in the driveway I myself wouldn't leave a dog unattended loose in a rig because of instances like this. The other reason would be to be insured of an intact headliner, seats and appendages off of the steering column.

My wife is a vet. tech. and yes peroxide is great to use for this ingestion issue.  If your dog is sick and you think it is a toxin eaten then time is your enemy.  Induce vomiting and a syringe works best.  Take to vet for care and possible IV fluids next. Liquid Vet. grade Charcoal is used often as well.

Not a stroke, dogs do not have strokes. This info was learned by me from my A+ WSU grad vet. Can't recall but it's and enzyme/chemical thing that makes it impossible.

Take him to the vet.

Loki ate an entire bag of rat poison when she was a pup, tenant failed to tell me about the bag in the garage when asked.   :bash:  The peroxide did the trick and she left it all in the Safeway parking lot.  No syringe though, just poured it down her throat.  Vets should tell every dog owner about peroxide on their first visit!
