I was up in white river today and saw nothing. Found tracks/trails/crap of deer and elk but nothing better.

Seen one 2-point and 4 spikes up Eatonville. Lots of rigs. Trying to get my 10 year old son his first deer. So no shot on the 2 point. Dad had the bi-pod set too high....he hasn't been beating me up over it though.

It was downhill and with the bipod extended all the way out he was in a half squat trying to look through the scope. 312 yards and walking down through the cut. It walked into the timber before he could get on it. I pulled the bipod off and he will be using the shooting sticks instead. Now that I think back on it. Kind of funny. I would of really liked for him to be able to get a shot at that deer, but this just gives us more time to roll around together.

Talked to Clyde tonight at the gate, 28 deer taken so far, The biggest so far was a 3X4 with eye gaurds, by a 12 year old boy, A couple more nice ones but mostly just 2 points.

we hit white river pretty good for a few days, saw one doe, seems worthless unless you got keys to drive way up to the clearcuts
