Just curious, can you hunt general season, or is it permit only?

You have to have a Hancock permit for Snoqualmie but I believe the 460 GMU is general elk.   No draw required.  Though I haven't been real successful in finding consistent elk inside the tree farm.  Outside that farm in North Bend I see them every evening.

I would say ask around, I live up there and see them all the time, just not in an area you can hunt without permission. If you have a bow you may be able to secure permission on private land. PM me if you have any other questions

If you have an access pass you can hunt elk in there. It's not like kapowsin where you need to be drawn.

Being deployed has me missing the hunt, gonna have to use plan B this year. I hunted elk last year in Darrington and tagged a nice bull. Are the Elk in north bend huntable on public land or is it all private?

95% of it is private and they will call the cops on you.  I did a sewer project up there a couple years ago and tried to get in good with a couple of the locals that had property, but still had no luck at getting access.

just find public land and scout, scout, scout, and then work it hard, work them mofo's outta the timber!  we have hunted several areas the last 3 weeks and all have had elk crap galore so they are all over, just scout and pattern them. if i had a choice between shooting a black-tail or elk right now, trust me i could find elk easier
