He's pretty safe I think.  They are safe if close to the house.  I'm kind of the same at my place.  I have 3 different blacktail bucks I see a few times a week in my yard.  Along with a few does and babies.  If they are here, they get a pass from me.  It's not hunting to me if I kill them in my yard...

Right on.   :tup:   :)  To each their own.  I guess I do as I was raised.  Dad wouldn't let me shoot a buck on our property then either.  Same reason I use, he said that's not hunting, just harvesting.  If I relied on it to live that would be one thing.  I don't, so that question is moot.
