mock scrape

I was wondering if any body had tried useing the tarsal glands from some one elses deer tp make a mock scrape for black tail? Or if any has tried rattlin and gruntin for them during the late archery season?  I gonna try it but i thought i could see if it had worked fpr anyone else and maybe score some tips.......
