Eagle pics from 7-29-07
« on: July 29, 2007, 08:04:20 PM »
Went fishing today and caught some monster trout and took a few pics of this eagle. The originals are a bit better as these are cropped and reduced for speedy loading.

Hey aren't you supposed to be getting ready to go on your bear hunt? Where you getting all this time to go goofing off?  :chuckle:

I spent an hour in the hills, wanted to shoot my rifle cold, see if the three clicks i put on the scope last week took well or not. I took two shots, and stopped shooting before things got worse. Unbelievable 2 inch group of two, at 300yards today. Couldn't even see the first round hit the x, knew it felt good, took the second, to the left and low. You can see my last two from a week ago taped over high left. I am happy. Bring on the bear.

When you are catching trout up to 8lbs brother got a 12#) everything takes a back seat! I really need to replace a u joint in my truck, but I put that off as well.

I did get my bow sited for broadheads out to 40 yards so I am making progress.

Great pics Billy.  It seems everyone was getting a piece of the fishing action.

Nice photos of the eagle! A couple of winters ago I was fishing the Methow for steelhead. A light snow was falling, and a big bald eagle was perched in a tree, just watching. The snow muffled the sound of whatever traffic may have been going by on the highway. I remember just looking around and thinking it could be anywhere - Alaska, British Columbia... - but it was just up the road from my place, about an hour. Nice...  :) Sure hope there's a good steelhead run this year!

Congrats on the big trout by the way - those are bruisers! Any photos?

Great shots of the eagle.  Sounds like the fishing wasn't too bad as well.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

I am trying to get a pic of my brothers fish, but he is not very computer savy. I did take a pic of my sister and a couple around 20 inches.
