Season hasn't opened up yet I did go scout out some spots that where within 1 1/2 hours from the house and its kinda hard because there is a lot of snow up there right now but we will see opens in a month

i would throw some bait down and go check it in 2 days if there are any bears there you will see the tracks in the snow and  you can judge how big of a bear or bears that are in the area.

cant start baiting until the season opens. sor some areas 7 days before i think.

Ya thats what I was thinking but wanted to check the regs first I'm debating on just hunting Montana this spring and doing it with my bow but will see how much money I have for tags next month
