GOP Senators Threaten Filibuster on Guns

Mar 26, 2013 10:29am

In the latest roadblock to passing gun legislation, three Republican senators have threatened to filibuster next month’s proceedings on the gun debate.

In a letter sent to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Rand Paul, R-Ky., warned that they might filibuster any legislation that restricts gun rights.

Between this, NY's indefinate suspension on the mag policy, and the UN small arms treaty business in the Senate I think that things may slowly be turning around.  Im certainly not sold on it, but one can hope.

Things are turning around. If we can keep another massacre from occurring, we might be able to keep our rights. I really dig what these three are doing to represent us.

We need to support these Senators that are fighting for our rights and freedoms.

Write Senators Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Rand Paul, R-Ky. to support their filibuster of any legislation that restricts gun rights.  We must stand with them on a national level.

Please write your message of support and thanks for fighting to protect our rights.

Use the following links to contact these Senators that are fighting on the front lines for us:

http://www.cruz.senate.gov/contact.cfm

http://www.lee.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/contact

http://www.paul.senate.gov/?p=contact

Copy and paste message, or write your own:

Dear Senators Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Rand Paul, R-Ky.:

I am writing today to express my sincere gratitude and support for your continuing efforts to protect and defend our rights and freedoms.  I fully support your plans to filibuster any legislation that restricts gun rights.

Keep fighting for us.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

So, it's just the size of the magazine under suspension because the requirement of 7-round magazines is arbitrary and no one makes mags of that size. Hopefully, someone won't start, either.

Sent a Thank You message to the 3 Senators fighting for us.  Sad that I can't send one to the Mom in tennis shoes or Maria Cantvotewell... :'(
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

I sent a thank you note which noted that our two senators are an embarrassment and serve only their own agendas and their king in DC.

Isn't a 1911 magazine just 7 rounds?

I guess it is, but because they're targeting the MSRs, none of them have them.
