Anyone know what  your shrimp or ling is costing you per pound when it's all said and done

About the same as the game you get hunting.

I don't add up the costs because that must makes me cry. I'm all about having a good time and spending time in the outdoors. If it costs $XXX then it was worth it.

Not much when you drive a civic, paddle in a kayak, catch your own bait, buy your rod when Northern Sales went out of business , get a reel handed down......so ya, actually not to bad  Reeling up a ling is way more fun than reeling up salmon.

I'm sorry I love ling fishing best tasting fish in the ocean but not even comparable to reeling in a salmon

Well a ling snapped my salmon rod, and you can reel up way more lings than you can salmon soooo...........

Ouch! Area 6 'buts kicked my butt today! 11 hours on the water and a few doggies were all we could muster. Radio fodder suggested most were having the same luck as us. Some fish were caught but for the amount of boats I think most got the skunk. No fish checker when we came in so I don't know the fish/boat ratio. Weather and water conditions were great. I hope shrimping treats me better! Good luck out there guys, gonna be a busy weekend!
