There really are no rights for Washington citizens to hunt.  Just opportunities to hunt provided by state laws.  Rights come from the treaties that the tribes signed between their government and the federal government.  So, you have the opportunity provided to hunt but not a true right provided in a treaty or constitution. 

I am guessing if you want to exhert your right to hunt red deer in Britian, you proably should be a resident

U hear stories like that from all over. I see bulls in the back of Indians rigs every year in august, September and october, and my good buddy works for hancock, so i hear of bulls in the teens and 20's every yr before the rest of us get to hunt, and oh yeah, we have to get drawn to hunt!!

I'd rather see the spike then the cow get harvested for the ceremony he's going to partake in.  Sure he may or may not have grown up to be a mature bull that is never certain, natural or unnatural death is not known.  I agree on a conservation level there should be limited hunting because animals deserve a chance at a break to regain strength and numbers.  I choose not to hunt during most of the year for that reason unless called upon, which is rare, and then I make every effort to harvest a young bull.  Its frustrating to see this I know but, our traditions and customs dictate what and how we conduct ceremonies, not made up or fictitious ones, and that's what we live by.  Whether anybody likes it or agrees with it its what we've been doing for generations and will continue to do for generations.  I am teaching my children what I was taught and its my wish they follow our teachings and do the same for their children.  I'm not commenting to argue but provide my opinion on the matter and hope this continues to stay civil.

I've said it before on here, I never have agreed with the comment that we have the privilege to hunt, that's crap to me. I 100% abide by the laws, but I will always believe I have THE RIGHT TO HUNT! God gave me the right to hunt, not the state, but like I said I will always follow the rules. The rules are there to protect the game and I agree with most of them, but the natives rights to hunt, I will never agree with those. They need to change the treaties to make sense, just my 2 cents.  And if the muck's ever buy kapowsin, my buddies and I will have some killer elk hunting grounds, cause we will be all over it!!

It doesn't seem very ethical in June, just for the fact that when you see Elk in June they usually just stand there and look at you. At least during a regular season hunt you are out there in the elements at the same time everybody else is out hunting too. I'm just sayin' !!!!

Really? U think I'm all for them hunting with rifles from august to Feb?  i said I'd be fine if they hunted and shot a spike in jugular hunting seasons like the rest of us. Have u read nothing I've said??? The fact that they shoot one in June means they will any month, doesn't matter.
