I'm going back next year for eland, possibly sable (archery), Nyala, and lechwe. My son is getting the fever too, and really wants a warthog.

Thanks everyone for the responses and the info, it's greatly appreciated, I'm going to have a hard time waiting another 8 months to get to Africa. Thanks too for the photos, but at the same time that's like putting the candy jar just out of reach of a sugar starved 4 year-old, I hope I have my own to share next March!

I recognize Rags and Leon, great folks, those two.
Here's Leon in Northern Cape and "Rags" on her visit to Seattle. Rags is a professional hunter, by the way....and my kudu.

You can try annelise@arevatravel.com , she helped some of my clients to do their paperwork and they were very happy with her service.
Good luck and have fun

Thank you, Mountain Man, I was still sleep deprived and jet lagged when I shot him. Honestly didn't comprehend what had happened until a couple of hours later. What a rush, I love South Africa.

I used to fish with a cajun down in southern Louisiana. We had a really good day on the water one year and I suggested we weigh a really big bass he had caught that afternoon. His response (the cajun's) was "If you weigh that fish, you'll make a liar out of me." Since that day, I've never weighed or measured any animal I've shot or caught, I want don't to become a liar. So, I guess the answer to your estimate on the length of the kudu is "I don't know, truly, but your estimate sounds good to me.".
