2013 Hunt-WA Trail Cam Photo Contest

We're going to put a new contest on this year. A trail cam photo contest.
Here's the rules...

1 photo per member. Photos can be added or removed as desired by the member. In other words if you post one up and then get a better one, remove the 1st one and add a 2nd. We can help with that if needed.

The date stamp on the photo MUST be accurate. The pictures will only qualify if taken between July 5th and Sept 30th.

Photo Contest will run from Thursday July 5th until midnight on Sept 30th. Pictures can be submitted till October 15th but they must be dated  September 30th or earlier.

Photos will be collected from this thread and added into a new thread for voting by the member base of the forum. Just like the monthly photo contests we run now. The person with the most votes at the end of the judging will win their choice of one of these plaques and a hunt-wa sticker donated by Bearpaw. The winner will have to send Bearpaw their mailing address and he will ship the prizes. The plaques work really well for euro or skull mounts.


Hope this will be a fun contest. We're getting more and more cameras out in the woods. I figure we'll get some great photos.

if pics dated through sept 30th are eligible maybe the submission deadline could be in mid october or something, to give people a chance to go out and swap their sd cards

I just deleted the wording on the judging. The judging will not be based on anything specific. Whichever picture gets the most votes wins. It was suggested to me that photo quality should not be the deciding factor as a unique animal could trump a quality photo. I agree so the most popular photo wins.

Just curious, how about those of us that have their trail cams set on video? Can we post a video or take a still pic off of the video? Or would we have to turn our cameras off of video mode?

I'm not sure about a prize for a video contest. I'll have to check with Dale. As far as stills off of video....I think this should just be for straight forward trail cam pics.
