Any hope left?

Any ideas how to fix this? I DONT WANT TO THROW IT AWAY. I Have caught alot of fish with this pole and would really like to use it again. maybe findernail polish and a bit of string and then untie the string when its dry?

Get some of that epoxy with the two tubes and single plunger and use a little bit of that. :dunno:

5 minute epoxy.  WONDERFUL stuff.  Get the ITW Devcon stuff.  $10 tube will last you a LONG time.  Worth a shot

I assume it is the top ferrule of the rod?  Talk to a rod builder and have it wrapped and clear coated.  It would look similar to one of your guides.  Otherwise a new top ferrule would be required.

I've been doing do-it-yourself rod building/repair for awhile, and that's exactly what I'd do.

If you take it to a repair guy, it may end up costing more than it's worth :dunno:. If you get a spool of rod wrapping thread and some lacquer, it could be a fun project, and you really have nothing to lose.
