Elk North of Wenachee
« on: October 24, 2008, 09:17:23 PM »
Hey everyone,  I prepared heavily this year for an early muzzleloader Elk hunt in 117 (49 degrees north) this year and even found a herd early in the fall but then God decide to have some fun with me.
My job decided I was needed elsewhere during the early hunt.. I was supposed to hunt 117 in Washington, but had to do some business travel. I'm currently scrambling to see if I can recover for the late hunt coming up in mid-late november.  I'm considering the 200-290 GMUs area, more specifically Swakane and Pasayten GMUs, but I've not scouted any of these...

I'm mainly looking to fill my freezer at this point, does anyone know of these areas, pr  of a farmers having trouble with elk and would be willing to put up with hunter for a couple of days?

Or is there anyone with some background on elk in these areas in Washington? I would greatly like to hear from you.

Kind Regards,

Mike

You will be hard pressed to find elk in the units you mentioned.  not saying you will never see one, but you will never see one!  :tung:  If you are looking for elk, you will be more likely to find them in the Mission unit or colockum.  Pm me for more info
