Riverswest or ? Outter wear

Take them back. My dad, brother and I all use Riverswest and they work great. You will sweat in them but you will sweat in just about anything.

:chuckle: I'm not sure what exactly that means, but it sure made me laugh.

What is "monkey butt"?
To start, it's not always called "monkey butt." It depends on what region of the country you're in, and how the sport you participate in has tagged the condition. For motorcycle riders who DO call it "monkey butt," it's a blue collar term used by riders to describe the soreness, itching and redness that occurs when you ride and sweat on a motorcycle for hours. If your butt is so sore that you have to walk bowlegged like a monkey, you have Monkey Butt!

If the condition worsens and is not taken care of, it will transform into a case of BABOON BUTT.

I am planning on getting a set of top and bottom Filsons this year, havent yet decided what style, prolly the double tin pants and the waterfowler coat. I expect them to be a little noisey, but plan on not getting wet...

Monkey Butt, ....we always called it "crotch rot", or "christ my ass is raw", anyway you call it, it sucks! I live on baby wipes all hunt, no more raw ass!
For rain gear, goretexy stuff or microfiber are ok, depending on the amount of rain. For the big rain, I just use good ol' fashioned rubber raingear. Construction safety stores sell blaze orange rubber parkas for under 100bucks. Works for me. I keep multiple raincoats in camp, one is drying while the other is getting wet... Nothing sucks more than putting on a soggy raincoat, even if you are going to go strait into the schitt and get soaked within minutes.
