Confirmed Wolf "kill" near Cedonia
« on: October 01, 2013, 01:48:08 PM »
Rancher on Harvey creek had a couple bow hunters witness a buck deer hobble into a field with a big black wolf just up the hill from the deer. The deer was badly injured and hung around the ranchers house ( within 30 feet ) for a day or so before it had to be put down. Game Dept was called and they confirmed the attack was consistant with  wolf attacks. Game Dept first said the bow hunters might have seen a dog or coyote........ Reliable source.....pastor of the local church and it was his field.

I hate to say it doesn't surprise me much.  I was talking today with a coworker who saw two in 117 when he was bow hunting with his oldest son.   :bash:

I was just in that area this weekend muzzleloader deer hunting.  I was wondering why the deer seemed to be more spookish than normal.  Maybe that was it.

Cedonia (pronounced sĕh-dōn-ya) is a very small unincorporated village in Stevens County, Washington, United States. It lies along the Columbia River, at a section that is known as Lake Roosevelt, a reservoir created by Grand Coulee Dam.
