Just lookiing to avoid the outfitters this high hunt. I'm going after bear durnig the high hunt because of my lucky late tag! I know the Entiat river and spider meadows and that area get hit hard with outfitters. What other aresa get hit hard also? Dose the Icicle creek area outa levenworth get hit hard by outfitters? thanks for the Advice!! |

Just stay out of the wilderness areas and you won't have to worry about it. There are some good areas for bear around Mount Adams I've heard. Or are you wanting to scout out a spot for next year's high hunt while you're at it? |

Nope looking for bear! Adams is close but Central washington is becoming my favorite! Hope to retire there. I already have a great spot for deer else where. Just so happens for me nothing gets the heart rate up like a good bear!!! |

I think out of Glacier Peak, Pasayten, and Alpine Lakes, Alpine Lakes will have the least amount of pressure. But there is plenty of high country that isn't included in the high hunt. I think there's some good area in the Entiat, and/or Slide Ridge units, where you wouldn't have to compete with deer hunters. If you really want a good chance of seeing bears, go to the far northeast. |
