Fingers crossed boys!  I gave him coordinates to a couple great bucks today.  I hope them and the weather are cooperating.  You guys know I don't just blow smoke, but this year is a tough year for the hunter.  There just aren't that many big ones out there.  My hats off to him for whatever he brings home in the back of that truck, even if its tag soup.  WELL DONE!  He is in a really good spot right now as I am typing this.  Hopefully its happening.  Here are a couple more lousy shots of boys on that ridge...you'd think one f these days I'd learn to take better pics.  These guys spotted me though, a blurrry pic or no pic...your choice.......sending you a little mojo Dan

We'll take the blur, Bone!

This kind of support for a fellow hunter is what makes this board so great!  You all deserve our utmost respect and appreciation for helping 300 out, and should feel deserving.  I for one would love to buy you all a round when this is over and we get a chance to hook up!  It has been a fun ride and feeds my hunting addiction, even if only in cyberspace.  Wish I was out there helping too, but I know of no monsters out there.

That makes for some tough decisions at this point! I feel for the guy. A once in a lifetime tag would be a hard one to eat. I cant believe how our deer population fluctuates so much year after year for big deer. Hopefully he nails one today and is thrilled with it. Good luck

Theres alot of dignity in eating a tag rather than to bust a young buck just to notch it.  Set a goal and go for it.

I agree with ya DeKuma! Great bunch on here. I would like to see some sort of a celebration complete with Dan and his trophy (or tag) and those of you who assisted first hand with this adventure and those of us who followed the story on a day to day basis. I'd be proud to meet you all. It has been a treat to tune in daily to keep updated how things were progressing. Lets hope for the best in the waning hours of Dan's (Wea300mag) hunt.

I wouldn't bet my house on it.

Regardless of what happens, this is the first site (and thread) I look at when the computer goes on in the morning.  I've enjoyed reading about this **journey** about as much as anything I can remember.  Good luck to you Wea300Mag in these final 36 hours.  Or, maybe, as others have mentioned, it's already over.

Sounds like he has a good lead for today. Keep out fingers crossed.

Sorry 300. Big boys never showed up here in the desert for you. I tried.  :dunno:

Thanks for all the great posts. Been following this from the start and finally decided add to it.  It should be mandatory to post your hunt on this site with the raffle tag. If I'm ever lucky enough to draw a tag like this I will be sure to post the hunt, and be extremely thankful for all the great people who help.  Dan, I'm sure you will be rewarded, hang in there and thanks again for sharing your hunt.
