Thanks for creating the seasons longest roller coaster, it has been a blast ot follow! 300, you have done this tag so much justice with the effort you have put in to it. Whatever you deside to do your a winner in my book.

Agreed!  :brew:  Anybody notice how many times this thread has been read?  11,000+.  If that isn't evidence of how much we've enjoyed this ride.  Thanks a ton 300, and all of you who are out there busting your ass helping out.

But I still think 300 is gonna put his tag on a brute tomorrow!

300 -

Hell of ride, thanks for faithfully posting each day so the rest of us can follow along.

Unless you got a hot lead tonight on a monster, I believe you've earned the right to go after a lesser buck even if it does seem easier.  How many times have we heard of guys nailing jumbo bucks in the general season after a few hours in the woods?  I respect whatever you decide, but if it were me, I'd be on the hill tomorrow looking to get my personal best on the ground and into the back of a truck.

Just my two bits.  You've paid your dues on this tag so whatever you decide I'm behind it 100%.

Go out and enjoy your hunt tomorrow!

My wife keeps yelling at me because we are trying to play games with her family tonight. I keep getting up and checking. If 300 doesn't post soon I will be sleeping on the couch.

By "games" are you referring to one of those sensual foot rubs you are always having to give your mother-in-law?? :chuckle:

Best of luck and THANKS for the UPDATES, it has been awesome.  Get something you'll be proud of, you will have enough memories to last a lifetime, I do believe the memories are always just a little bit sweeter when you have a set of antlers to look at and hold but thats just my opinion.  Can't wait to hear from you tomorrow.

Dan, I am not a real "religous" man, but tonight I am praying for you! Take what you want tomorrow, you have earned this great experience, your hunt of a lifetime. I am sure we are all so jealous, and we can only dream what it is like to be in your shoes. We will never forget this great american hunt!

Well said Iceman. When I look at the heads and horns in my home and in my photos what I remember most was the chase, camaraderie and effort put in trying to fullfill my dreams. Be proud of whatever you decide to harvest tomorrow, even if that is nothing. You have had an awesome season, as well as everyone following this thread.  It's all about the hunt, not the harvest. Whenever I have harvested an animal there is always a huge rush and tremendous amount of excitement but I must say, some sorrow too. Because then I know the hunt is over. To me the hunting is whats so damn fun. Killing is easy, hunting is hard. Which makes it so rewarding. Good luck, have fun, be proud. You gave this hunt 200%. I would be honored to meet and shake your hand one day.

I'd like to hop in here to and thank everyone involved for posting this great adventure. It has been a pleasure following along. The guys that helped didn't have to and 300 didn't have to post his every move. You all did and that says a lot about the kind of people you are. Good luck on the final day.

You got this next about 8 1/2 hours to hunt and you done good so far.  You've given it everything and whatever you decie to harvest or not harvest, it's been a pleasure following your hunt.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Maybe we should rally the game commission for a few more tags like this, a couple of each species, spread throughout the year, with a provision where folks must come here and check in daily as their hunt progresses...!

Nahhh, probably wouldn't work, it is hard to replicate an "original", something as exciting at this one...
