Good deal- Thanks for the heads up on the cameras. Ordered two
 2 x Refurbished Moultrie Game Spy M80 5.0MP IR Mini Camera - Refurbished M80 [MOU-MCG-12670] = $119.98

First thing is to find out what has been getting into our chickens!

Just an FYI I bought brand new M100xt from Walmart online for $129.00.  They have the 2x2" lcd screen on the camera for viewing or adjusting.  They are the newer models to the M80 and they take audio as well video, pictures and plot watcher modes.  They take great pictures & video.  I haven't looked recently for them but also saw some at Puyallup Dicks store onsale for $79.00 half price of normal.

If I found an m100 for $79 I'd probably buy it. But for now, these refurbished m80's for $59 are the best deal that I know of. I really need to order another one before they're sold out.

** Update **
I purchased a Refurbished Primo's Truth Cam 46 Ultra from natchez. Brand new batteries right out of the package. The cam lasted 3 days and now displays a 10% and wont take photos.
Hi Res Photos, 3 Photo Burst, 30 Sec Delay's. Not to mention, It didn't take any photos yet still died.  :dunno:
Highhly dissapointed. Going to figure out If I can send this piece of #^%! back to them. Gonna pickup a Moultrie 80 since everyone stands by them it seems. :bash: :bash:

Think it could be the cold, or a defective set of batteries, Ive read with those ultra's they're "supposed" to have some of the best battery life of trail camera's on the market, but Jeesh, I placed it out on saturday and pulled it today just to see if it was working and the camera reads 10%

Huntnnw, do you have the old truth cam or the new "ultra?"

Smossy, was your camera taking pictures when it was at 10%? Did you verify that it was working when you first set it up? Did it at least take some pictures if you as you were walking away?

The cold will reduce battery life somewhat, but definitely not like that. You might try it one more time with fresh batteries. Also be sure to format the sd card.

Yeah it took 6 photos of me as i fiddled/locked/walked away fromm the camera and that was it. I tested it a week or so prior at home and it worked just fine. Took about 10 photos all in the dark. At that point the cameras battery life still read 99% so :dunno: it was an old 512mb sd card which was used for my hunting digital camera and I never formatted it.
Its been way past my 15 day return period though so I may just be sitting on a paperweight now.

I would definitely try a different sd card in it before giving up on it. Or at least try formatting the card first. There should be a way to format it while it's in the camera. I usually format in my computer but it's probably best to do it in the camera if it gives you that option.

Looking to get my first trail cam? What would be a better purchase a Refurbished Moultrie Game Spy M80 5.0MP IR Mini Camera  or the Moultrie D-55IRxt Game Spy Digital Camera, 5.0 MP. It seemslike the M80 is refurbished but people have positive reviews. but Rodgers sporting goods website has 2 other Moultrie cameras for just 10dollars more that dont seem to be refurbished, the regular price is like $130 dropped to 70bucks. Any thoughts

Also to clarify, When it was at 10% sitting on the tree as I walked up, It flashed a photo "I seen the red leds light up" and there was no photos when I looked at it.

I picked up a new 4gig 15mb/s sd card today and some fresh battery's. Well see what happens now I guess.

These deals all sound great and it reminds me of one MAJOR disadvantage of living where I do no such deals available here without driving  over 2 hours which defeats the purpose considering the price of fuel

At only 10% battery life, my guess is it had enough power to take a picture, but not enough to write it to the card.
