16A-16D all in the gila...the difference i think is specifically where and when. |

All of 16 is in the Gila, maybe even some of 15.....they beak them up into subunits. Different hunts at different times. 16D has three archery hunts in September. Each are about 5 days. |

I was up in the Rimrock unit scouting this weekend and there was no rutting activity that i saw. Every once in a while I would stop and let out a small bugle and I got one response back then nothing. I think the elk got pushed around a lot by the bow hunters. Maybe in a week they will settle down and start making noise again. I only seen three cows that had a spike with them that was still in velvet. |
