wish us luck
« on: April 11, 2014, 09:57:41 AM »
taking a couple of kids down to southern Idaho for their amateur boxing debut! 10 year-old girl at 70lbs and 11 year-old boy at 70 lbs, both good kids. they've been putting in the time and hard work in the gym and I have gotten some of my former boxers to the national level so I kinda know my way around a ring, let's just hope they learn some values along the way and be good people when they mature.
I told their parents when the bell rings they'll forget all of our training and stand toe-to-toe and slug it out, so matters more who is in better shape than who can box the best, until their third or fourth match anyway.  :chuckle:
both are planning on taking one of my hunter education classes this summer. so they should be in good enough shape to get their first kills in this fall hopefully.

Keep your hands up and let us know how it turns out. After that first real punch lands, they will start thinking about the training, and how to not take a square hit like that again. Good Luck!
