Hopefully you tag holders will have some good luck, but I will guarantee you this, you will all comment on how the tribal "over-harvest" on mature bucks the last few years has really taken its toll up there.  And if you don't comment, you're being stubborn. ;)

i had only 4 pts :) :) :)  This is the second time i have gotten this tag.  I will agree snow or no snow i have had friends that have done great in both, it realy has more to do with the migration from the high country if snow is heavy up high and moves them down and the snow level is up high still the deer will move into the are and the rut will be in full! The snow down lower does help out but boy does it not make it fun to get around, makeing the roads fun to drive around.

I drew this tag too! I can't wait to get up there and hit it hard! My cousins have been raving about it for years and one of them had the tag a year or two ago. I decided to put in for it this year and got it! I haven't hunted it much, mainly just riding along with others. Any wisdom would not go unheard  :)

Practice with both eyes open. You don't want a forked horn stepping into the arrow when you were aiming at a bigger buck :bdid:

I drew it last year, with no snow.  The best buck we saw was 160, but we saw a lot of bucks.  I blew some stalks, missed a big 3x4 and finally shot one that was suicidal so I could get home and hut elk on the wet side.

Don't need snow to find bucks that time of year.  Snow makes them easier to see and congregates them in more condensed areas, but they are there with or without snow.  They come down to chase does and rut.  Unless you are looking for a true bruiser...there is no reason to eat your tag on this hunt.  Come the last day the first 3 point or bigger would fall victim to my love for venison burger.   :chuckle:

Here are a few pics to get you guys primed.

I'm stoked for this hunt, the buck in my avatar was from the last time I had the tag in 2005.
