Putting a few Salmon in the new boat!
« on: August 19, 2014, 07:17:59 AM »
We had a good time on the Columbia putting a few fish in the freezer. When I got my boat, I really wanted to fish salmon, and it sure was a great time. My kids got their first salmon, and my wife enjoyed getting a few!  Great feeling seeing the joy on everyone's faces! We put one hatchery king in the boat, and released a few good size wild kings at the boat. Looking forward to fishing the reach!
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

Dude I know the feeling all to well   :bash: :bash: :bash:

I'm at the point where I can't wait for early archery season to get here and be over so I concentrate on salmon more

Sockeye isn't it?
It looks like they ran pretty good!
I didn't catch any sockeye this year sadly (Barbless hooks are really getting me) :bash:
But we got the fall kings coming up too!

Yes, most of the pics are of sockeye. Barbless hooks are tough! We lost way more sockeye than we caught right at the boat.

Nice work.  I have become used to catching the Baker Lake Sockeye, quite a size difference for some reason. :dunno:
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
