speaking of lighter rifles robbie, i have been seriosly thinking of retiring the ruger #1 single shot that i have hunted with forever and going to a rossi 7mm-08 i believe they weigh about 6.75lbs which is even lighter than my daughters rifle which i didnt think was possible, put a safari sling on it and you would never even know you were carrying a rifle :tup: and they are really short, its a better brush gun than the 30-30 but it doesnt have the heavy load like a 30-30 that the only down fall i can see
