Youth Bowhunting Opportunity
« on: November 08, 2014, 06:59:33 PM »
I have some land in the BG unit. It has a few nice does that live on it 24/7... I am looking for a youth, preferably a kid looking for his /her first deer with a bow or first deer period. If you know a kid that fits this description, contact me. My idea is to have the shot be 15-20 yrds from my blind. I would like to film it if possible, I would have loved to have a video of my first deer (doe) with my bow when I was 12. This is important to me as I would be taking a day out of my late season for this and I only have 13 days to hunt with work. So if I can find the right kid... lets make this happen.

it maybe due to they want to go after a buck first during the late opener.  Id be game to take my boy there but he not nessasarily a youth(18 now) and he got his first deer 2 years ago. There has to be someone willing. Did you post it in the youth section??

I have several kids who would qualify.  But my 11 yr old (turning 12 in Jan) would be the most likely to be thrilled for the chance.  He's the one in my profile pic.  Loves going with me, but hasn't finished hunter's ed yet.

My 14yr old loves archery (long or recurve), so possibly another option.  Assuming this would be next year?  (edit - just re-read it and sounds like you are trying to do this THIS season - so we are out.  If you do it next year, would love the chance!)

Definitely interested.

This is my son's first year hunting and all we do is archery. We'll be over on the Eastside for late elk but available every weekend after that 'til the end of the season.  If needed I could pull him out of school for a day for a surprise trip if fits with your hunting/filming schedule better.
