Place to go squidding

What's a good place to go squidding? I have seen a few people on the pier by the don Armini boat ramp on Elliot bay a lot over the last week, anyone know if there having any luck? Also heard about pt defiance marina? Just want to try it once before I move this summer and have a lot of time off over Christmas.
