Wet, wet, wet, wet, wet, had to run my bilge three times..  Did I mention wet.  We got a bunch of subs, no keepers.... Worst part canvas has been under cover since Oct and seriously dried and shrunk up, so rain leaked inside about half what it was doing outside...  Once dry again, time to re-coat with some water proofing...  Was a great day anyhow despite of the rain with friends and a great surprise - an old Police friend I didn't know we had mutual friends.  Haven't seen him in 7 years since leaving AK and bam there was as an invite from one of my buddies... Small world..

Tag!! I know a spot or two off White Bluffs, but would love to learn the river off The Dalles or below McNary. A big fish would be nice, but the 50 fish a day stories sound like fun too!!

Yeah ,COHOHO is the man - he is true sturgeon machine fisherman .Fished with him ,his friend and Ripper last year (or was it the year before ? can't remember now) . Can't say where we fished ...you know the rules ,but it was great . I long line released one or two I believe . Found some old pictures from the 2000 (I think) when I did 5 days on the river just catching shad and sturgeon every year -good old days .
Everyone thinks that I'm freak ,I don't look different do I ?

We fished last week in the bonny pool and managed one keeper with a ton of shakers.  Too windy to fish our favorite spots. Squid and smelt were the best baits.  You could hold with 8oz easy.

Nice, let us know how that side of the state is, always wanted to run over there, just haven't.  We are doing 100% Umatilla this summer for the big boys for a weekend of beer and sun...

weather report this weekend for E WA 75 degrees. I would say that qualifies as beer weather

Looking forward to your report.  No sarcasm intended but these fish are in different places different times of the year.  Personally speaking, I struggle with mass amount of shakers early (at times 50:0) but if you keep tabs on the walleye guys, they'll start picking a few up in places that you wouldn't have considered.

Later in the season it really heats up with a much better keeper ratio (if thats what your looking for) to around 75% keepers.

Good Luck!
