Going to be well below freezing tonight in the area. Chain it up and get it out of there at dawn, before anyone even knows what happened. It's a Jeep thing.  :chuckle:

The problem with that is that decomposed granite does not hold the moisture and it would be even worse.  There would be a nice hard crust that would fragment easily and drop you in soggy ground, meaning you would have to break the crust but there is still nothing below to lock onto.

When I was down there I did not find more than maybe two sets of boot tracks. Not many people walking down there for sure, might have been Marks tracks out. It is a heck of a climb up or a hard descent, no easy way in except maybe through the orchard.

That thing has been sitting there over a week. "Anyone" already knows about it.

Excellent point.   :chuckle:

:yeah:
Probably a best chance to get it out for low dollar. Shouldn't have been out there anyway with out 2 pairs of welded vlug chains IMHO.

It's been there a week and isn't stripped yet? Good thing it's not in the lower valley.

Funny for people to say we are humiliating ol' Mark. If it were me that got that corned there is nothing said on here so far that would make me feel more humiliated.

You would have to be one bad mofo to hike down and strip anything off it. All I could see to do would be to tip it into the orchard below then strip what is left. Also, it is brand new so there does not appear to be anything but a pile of free USFS brochures and maps and an empty soda bottle. Figured something this screwed would involve alcohol to account for the seriously poor decisions, but there was no sign.

You don't know what kind of thieves we have in Yakima.  :yike:  They'll do anything for meth, crack, heroin, or?

Probably the easiest and cheapest way to get it out of there is to offer someone a dime bag to "deliver" the jeep "unharmed" to an "undisclosed" location.   :chuckle:

I thought I might offer Mark $100 as is. He might come out $100 ahead if he took it.  :chuckle:

Years ago on the West hill in Kent (516) I was maybe two minutes late to watch a guy roll a brand spanking new, tag in the window Pathfinder. Dust was still in the air....Guy made it maybe 20 feet up one of those end of road/ steep gravelly hillsides begging for testing your 4wd.... Uh, yeah he screwed the pooch and somehow got is sideways and rolled it....His wife was not too happy looking, "chatting" him up from the pavement. Sometimes guys do this to themselves.....
Amazing how many ATV/ORV tickets one can write in the cities. That situation is one example.
