I have used Lathrop & Sons custom services for more than a couple pairs of boots, and highly recommend them.  I am in the same boat that you are in - in regards to unique/problemed feet.  Stephan even worked with my existing prescription orthotics.

Thanks suga! Can i ask a rough cost for the system? Pm is fine. And also how long are the boots lasting? I would hate to have them wear out in a year or 2.

Are these more than boots?  What is the "system"?
Friend: "Are you free tonight?"
Me:  (Gazing into the distance as a bald eagle screeches)  "I'm always free"

they will examine your feet akd reccomend boots with the best fit and then make you custom foot bed soles as well as alter the boots to fit your feet best.

I just went through the process and have been wearing the boots/system for about 2 weeks now. I have had a lot of problems with my feet the last couple of years and have planter fasciitis along with the fact I need size 14s, finding the right boots has been tough. I have about 25 miles on the boots and it seems to be going well but I haven't done any real hills yet, so until I do that the jury is still out.
Working with Stephen was great, but it is expensive, my total was a little over $800, the boots were $400 alone, if it works out, its worth the cost.

I've worked with Stephen on a few pair of boots. This time on the Lowa Cevedale tech lites we went with a custom footbed.  Once I get 25 miles on them we will decide if I need to send them back and have the boot remolded.

Anyone looking at getting new boots owes to themselves and feet to at least give Stephen and James a call first.
