Stealth Trail Cameras, Anyone have them?
« on: March 24, 2015, 05:15:19 PM »
I have been looking to upgrade cameras and a cousin back in the midwest sent me a text about a good sale on a two pack of stealth trail cameras.  Do any one of you run the P-series? the one on sale is a P12 6 Mega Pixel IR Camera.

If any of you want to show pics from your stealth cameras so I can see the picture quality, that would be greatly appreciated :). Thanks

I had one 2 years ago and returned it within 2 months. It ate a set of batteries in 3 weeks and only took 150 pictures and wasnt triggering when it should have. Probably the worst camera I ever owned. It wasnt the p series though. But ill never own another stealth cam because of it. Love my Bushnell and going to try a brownie next though.

This is the one I am looking at. I can get two for that price (89.99) plus shipping which would be about $105 for two.

I just got that cam off eBay. 50.75$ shipped. Worked well in the backyard with the dogs. Have yet to have it in the woods yet.

I haven't owned Stealth Cam cameras, but I would suggest if you buy this camera, buy it from Walmart. They have it for $60.74 and for an extra $6 you can get a 2 year warranty through Walmart that covers it no matter what happens. It's much easier to return it to Walmart than have to deal with shipping it back if it quits working. Also, most likely the manufacturer's warranty is only 1 year. Walmart will also take it back if you don't like it in the beginning, or if it just doesn't work to your satisfaction. Cheap trail cameras very often have issues, and I hate dealing with warranties and shipping them back. Walmart is a great option if you have one near you.

I returned mine, it was not consistant. It took good video and pretty good pics but often time i would show up and baits gone with loads of fresh tracks of misc. animal types with so few pics. And other times super sensitive trigger and only pictures of leaves falling .... I could not figure out it out.
