One is early and one is late, that's the only difference. So decide if you want to hunt the rut in October, or in possible snow in November.
I do understand the impossible odds , and I do know the any weapon rule,i just didn't know if my land was in or out , or what time of year, it might be in or out . Thanks so much for the responses , with all these critters in my sights almost daily a guys gotta try for peats sake !! I guess I read that article about how good moose meat is and I have dreams of moose meat spaghetti and meat balls dancing in my head, like I said they are right there, and I have this thing against outlaws in the woods , wich is something I will never be, so for now ill just watch them and enjoy there every morning weeeeeezing or what ever you call that ungodly alarm clock every morning at about 630am.And another thing my neibor got his tag years ago and took a monster bull on the first day , he has that darn rack outside on his barn and I cant stop looking at that either, he tells me forget about it after he tells me how good the meat was !!As for the regs. pamphlet, its just not the look forward to thing it used to be I geuss, just keeps tightening the noose on our hunting freedoms, but this is were I chose to live so I will try harder every year to fit in ,,,in some way I geuss, as we all do.This piece of land I got is right in the middle of a huge piece of state land and im new to it and trying to conform to the rules up there,my cabin is actually right on the boarder and im surrounded by state land I heard it was a easement for a rock quarry for the state and it has been that way for 92 years, needless to say a lot of people have tried trespassing and breaking in but law enforcement has been great about it.Last but not least it great to see the any deer up there for archery instead of 4 point or bigger , big surprise but im not going to starve this year !!
