Hard to go solo.  Someone got to steer and pull in downrigger wires.  Then you have to get the net.  :chuckle:

Wouldn't you just put it in neutral, screw the downrigger, and reel that sucker in. Get the rod in one hand and scoop with the other?

I'll have to try this.

Huh i must of missed a text?  :dunno:
Did ya drop pots also?
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Good luck out there! You were a good student. I am a bit jealous of what you guys may be having for lunch :chuckle:

I think you can catch them off of the beach at kayak point.

Check into browns point Double J. Much closer for you and better fish numbers than Kayak point.

Do you think the tide will matter when shore fishing off Brown's Point?

pick a hot spot and have fun. The mouth of a river system might be the best option from shore. Bright fish, natural funnel, hit 'em where they stack. Good luck.

Just one so far. Slow. Not seeing many nets.  More jumpers than hook ups.

Fished ship wreck yesterday with Ed and my son. Ed limited and my son caught one, lost 3 at the boat, al, while my pole never budged  :bash:

Fished Browns point this morning from boat and watched the guys on shore limit and leave wIle we got nothing.
Moved to the mouth of the Puyallup riverbank picked up one pink, 2 long line releases   :chuckle:

Browns point is best from shore at tide change, dusk and dawn doublej.

It's 5 O'clock somewhere.......
