Rangefinder? Judging distance can be tuff in open/closed areas. After I missed a 7pt bull I purchased one. But ya, bowhunting. Its all fun. Kills end your time out there so be happy.

Dude ...you gave it your all ...that's all you can do ..target shooting and shooting animals is 2 different things ...There are many hunters who can shoot dimes at 50 yrds all day long while shooting in their yard . Then when a deer pops up they can not hit their arz ...But that's why you have to go and give it your best ...the harder you hunt the better because you will learn what to do and not to do ....all animals look big to someone who has not been around them a lot ...again that will change once you see a few and learn how to judge their size ...at least you got something ...that's a good start !!! GOOD JOB !
