First Buck ever 5x4 Muley
«
on:
October 20, 2015, 06:25:40 PM »
After three years of hard hunting, I finally earned my stripes. What makes it extra special is that I got my first deer with the rifle my Grandfather gave me and it happened to be his 94th birthday on the day I finally got it done! Hope everyone else on here is making memories and has some great stories from this year. Good luck and happy hunting!

Thanks guys! Got it in WA. Haven't hunted out of state yet. As for a piebald, I would say no. Coloring looked pretty much like most of the Mule deer I've seen. Maybe a little more gray in the face though.

UWHunter, I hate to be the one to break it to you but you are sooooo screwed because that is one he11 of a buck and it's gonna be all down hill from here.
I'd say that's real close to a once in a lifetime kind of buck. Well done!!!

Thanks guys! Definitely getting it mounted. My hunting buddies were saying the same thing about be ruined for future hunts. Fortunately, I enjoy the experience over the trophy. So hopefully I won't be to let down on the next one.

Good thing you're a Dawg fan! If you would have rolled in wazzu gear you would've "couged it" and missed!
Congrats, that's a super good buck!

Great deer for sure. Yep you are ruined but you never know you might get a bigger one. If not that is a dandy for sure. Love the double throat patch and grey face. The mount should look great. Hope you are have someone good lined up to do that work, you want to make sure they do it justice and give you a lifetime of memories each time you look at it.
