First public land buck
« on: October 28, 2015, 01:56:01 AM »
A lot of time on this forum while deployed, and a lot of time scouting over R&R landed me my first public land buck that I am pretty proud of!  Camped out a few days on state land and hunted hard everyday, finally had the wind in my favor on a good spot I found and he came in to about 50 yards. Straight through the lungs and he dropped in about 25 yards! 400 yard drag out wasn't too bad with my adrenaline pumping. Awesome first year hunting up here.

That's a beautiful buck!
