Congrats/ And Your welcome
« on: November 09, 2015, 06:41:37 PM »
Coming out of the upper 1900's on Sunday decided to cruz up fifes on the 1920 to take a look around. We had one cow in the truck but still had a tag to fill so thought what the heck, havn't been on the ridge for a few years.

Get up the ridge and see a smoldering fire in a camp. Ok they obviously just left, but Im thinking common guys, smoke means fire.  We drive by but something doesn't sit right with me.

We turn around and drive into the camp. Get out and the smoldering fire is now sparking and gaining energy. And its not in the fire pit... :yike:   We use the last of our water and a couple Propels to knock it down. Obviously someone neglected to do a secondary check before leaving or just assumed the weather would put it out.

So we took care of your fire for you. And congrats on the two bulls you killed, based on the carcasses that where scattered all over the place.

Oh and I would of picked up all the trash you left behind but I didn't have room to haul it home, truck was loaded with elk camp...

But Im sure your heading back to pick it up

Shoulda called the fire in ;). I put out three in the nile today. Seemed like the camps threw all the wood on the fire when they left. There was one going pretty good on my way down, but I didn't have time to put it out.

I know you shouldn't have to clean up after somebody else but thank you for doing it.  Maybe they'll read your post and get the message.....

Maybe they are the guys leaving toilet paper & poop every where without burying it, every little pull out, every landing, every trail head, where people walk around gated roads, toilet paper everywhere. Nasty people. What is so hard about stepping in the woods and burying it. NASTY
There are only so many sunrises left.

And then these types of people get mad when they start closing areas down and gating roads. Thanks for doing the right thing

There are more "dirtbags" in Washington than any other state I have been in. Picked up two full garbage bags this year just along roads during the early season in the Taneum. How hard is it to haul out what you haul in? It makes me sick to think of what is to come.

Mossyhead I hear ya! I have hunted the Taneum for a few years now, and this year has been one of the worst for other peoples outdoor etiquette. Was up hunting last day of modern rifle mule deer, and saw a truck pull out on a landing looking back over Cle Elum on South Cle Elum ridge. Dude climbs out and takes a dump right out in the open. :yike: And then leaves papertowel covered in skidmarks everywhere. I mean have the decency to drop trow in the woods, away from where people generally stand on the scenic view overlook. Ugghh I just need to hunt someplace else now, too many dummies for me. :bash:
