A quick Craigslist search for "Ducks" in the Portland area revealed there are some ducks for sale in bettle ground..... the ad said bettle but I am pretty sure they meant Battle Ground.

Since it's not legal to use wild birds for dog training I read about a little loop hole on the wanton waste law. If you breast wild ducks out and then zip tie closed, I've been doing on set of zip ties around the breast and one set to fold the wings over the breast, you can train with them all you want. I called wdfw and they said it was 100 percent fine. Also spoke to a wdfw officer when I was checked this season and he agreed. I've got most of the nice clean birds I killed in the freezer zip tied up for training.

I guess if you need to shoot flyers though you'd need to go the craigslist route or maybe some of the many trainers in that area would see you a few.

Are you wanting live birds, whole birds, or just wings? If wings I am headed out hunting Friday, and if hunting is good will gladly clip some, also I am headed Saturday down to the Kelso area. Let me know.

I can get you set with a supplier if you can drive to Scio. He owns a construction company I subcontract for and runs field trials and supplies trials and test on the west coast

Do you know if they have more in stock? When I called around April for 50 ducks they said they were sold out for the year..... I had to find another supplier.

April is the start of trial season and everyone was tight on ducks. Call again would be best bet.
