Got 2 of the little buggers last night. If i get them fleshed out i'll send you one Skillet.
I have actually skinned and tanned them before. When I was in college I sent one to my sister in a Birthday card. She still talks about it to this day. I think I may send a couple to her daughters they have Birthdays coming. They Love Uncle Mike.........Haha

Is the market pretty strong for them?  Hate to say it, but I've done some trapping in my shop and garage and didn't even think about saving the pelts.  Hope I haven't missed out on some big bucks

Not quite as strong as say, a red fox, but not bad if there is no hair slip which can be bad if you don't get them skinned out pretty quick.

Ahh, I see.  So do most buyers prefer the pelts stretched on a wood board (tongue depressor as somebody mentioned), or, is it acceptable to stretch em on a wire stretcher, perhaps a formed out paper clip?

Seems odd the herd count has went down so drastically since the last time you ran your trap line there.  Do you think predation is affecting their numbers?  Perhaps yardcats or weasels?  There may be some nocturnal predation occurring there that is affecting herd count... just thinking out loud.  Have you deployed any trail cams at your spot recently to perhaps, reveal any additional information about movement patterns?

After studying your pic of the mouse setup, I believe you will have much greater success if you fill some of the holes between traps with more traps .  From what I can see in the pic, it looks to me that you could easily double the trap quantity there, if not triple it........its not magic....it's just simple math.
