Sonora Mule Deer Hunt
« on: February 05, 2016, 09:09:55 PM »
I've been putting this trip off for years and years.  Now that  finally have the time and money, I'd like to start the process.

Anyone have any idea how much is an average hunt?  Recommend anyone to talk to about it?

I book for a guy in Mexico for mule deer, Whitetail, and Coues deer I am sure he is a little cheaper since he is new to the business compared to Sonora and I have another guy who is an outfitter a couple hours from Laredo texas into Mexico for big whitetails, doves, ducks, and turkey

   :yeah:
A buddy of mine did it last year and it was a fiasco because of Mexican drug runners.  His guide went missing for a couple of weeks while he sat in Arizona, having to fly home and then return later after all was clear.  He wound up with a nice buck but it was a scary and expensive ride.  I wouldn't go into Mexico for anything!

Lot's of crooks in Mexico, including some of the "outfitters".    Guys that can't legally guide in the states or even own weapons in the states, own outfitting businesses in Sonora.

Do your research.

Contact: Ernesto, he might be able to point you in the right direction for Sonora muleys.

He surely knows/books great ranches for Coues bucks.
