Friends have a cabin in the area.  Few cameras in the area too I believe wonder if they've gotten any pics.

I know a few folks in Waconda that use scopes instead of cameras.

That and the wolf killed cow elk are only about 3 miles from the brother in law's cabin. Will have to check the cams set up once we can through the snow to get back up there.
There is no greater respect to have for wildlife than to harvest an animal fairly and use it's flesh to feed your family.  ~me

It still makes me mad when I think about the time a neighbor had wolves trying to attack his german shepherds in a kennel in his back yard, he had to shoot in the air to scare the wolves away. The guy grew up around here seeing coyotes year around, he said the wolves were at least as large as the german shepherds they were trying to attack. I reported it WDFW, they went to the guys place, the wolves were gone but WDFW claimed it was coyotes! That pretty well explains the WDFW's handling of wolves in this state!  :bash:

That's a pretty good photo, but boneaddict or haugenna are probably right, just another wolf from the Lookout Pack or OR 7, they travel a lot!  :chuckle:

if the game department says they are coyotes then he can shoot them and blame it on the game dept. correct

While it may be fun to say that, I'm certain if they could prove you killed a wolf it would play out much differently.  :twocents:

This wolf was in the pasture across the street from the old school in Waconda. Not pictured, but cows with calves were near the wolf. I'd assume the wolf was hunting etc.
