There needs to be even more of this and they should just open a season on them so we can shoot them instead of just letting tax payers foot the bill for hired guns.

More needs done to reduce sealions also.  :mgun: :bfg: :mgun2: :hunt2:
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

Wait until dark, hit the island with a 10/22 rigged with a night scope, a few bricks of ammo... :dunno:

I think WDFW has delayed some of their fish plants in the lakes so those fish eatin' birds don't eat all the product before opening day.  I have watched them in some lakes work in teams to herd fish and gobble them down.

If they allowed sportsmen to conduct the reduction than those activist would be guilty of interfering with a lawful hunt.  :twocents:

We have more videos coming to address this. In a nutshell, the government claims that cormorants are eating too many salmon. They are a convenient scapegoat because the government won't admit that human overfishing, pollution and other human activities are actually to blame. Furthermore, the government's own experts have declared that killing cormorants will not resolve the issue. This is a government program of cruelty, waste of life and waste of tax dollars.

The same sand bar was a Caspian tern stronghold, millions were spent then and they are doing it again with cormorants.  Why avoid the 'shark' folks, tell them what you are doing and why, offer them a 12 gauge to help out.  Let them demonstrate how little they know and understand.  Record it and use it.
You might want to let your elected folks know you appreciate this effort even though hunter involvement would be far more efficient.
I assume these new to the PNW (relatively) birds are laying eggs on this sand bar?  We talked about egg eating pigs for the terns, it would still be a cheap effective method.

Yeah, it's "human overfishing, pollution, and other human activities" that have led to the overpopulation of those birds in that area.......liberal moron!

More of this guy to rustle your feathers. I do have to agree though with the pigeon shoots being unethical.

I'll keep you updated on the cormorant cull.

Isn't WDFW suppose to eradicate "non-native" species, especially those who came about by someone releasing their "pets"???

While the WDFW re-introduces more  predators and aggressively "protects" non-game predator species, some where down the line there won't be a need for WDFW!
The only good tree, is a stump!
