The drawing results are now posted for 2015. Looks like odds of drawing were only about 67%.

Wow, will be interesting to see what this years applicants were.  Looking like even the deer is getting pretty popular.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

Did anyone else receive a note from the state apologizing for the mix up on the MS Deer draw?  I got a pleasant letter that said they screwed up my entry, have awarded me 4 points, and I can still purchase a MS deer tag over the counter from the unclaimed tags. 

Crazy thing is that according to the website, I got picked for both MS Deer and Elk this year.  Little bit confusing but I will take the points thanks.

A buddy was drawn for a cougar tag about five years ago and put a lot of time and effort into scouting etc.  Then right before the season opened they sent him a message that it was a mistake and his tag was invalid.  He simply disregarded the email message he got, he had purchased the tag and had it in his possession and told them to go pound sand that so long as the season was open, he had a tag and he was going to hunt.

3rd year I've applied, first year I didn't draw deer. I'm doing points only on elk for now.

I would buy that tag immediately if it still shows you can :)
