« on: May 01, 2016, 04:06:33 PM »
I know it just opened but I was just checking to see if anybody heard of fish being caught. Also how's the lower yak looking?

I've seen one pic on a different forum of one caught below Ice Harbor but that's it. The Yak, like everything, is high with runoff.

Well went down to ice harbor dam. Fishing was great for some lol. I missed a few good bites. They are letting out quite a bit of water still and the visibility is not to great but lots of fish jumping over the dam.

Depending on where you fish there, the issue isn't how much is going over the spill ways but how much is going through the turbines. It's good fishing with either a ripping back eddy or with it going straight down stream, but Saturday was more of just a lazy current going down stream current for us fishing closer to the dam on the Burbank side. I put 7 hours in with nothing to show for it, Friday was better to me.
